Flat Reed is another of the by-products of the Rattan Palm after the peel has been removed. It is a very satisfactory substitute for hand-made Oak Splits and is often used in chair and rocker seats, footstools, wicker and baskets to achieve a rustic, old-fashioned appearance. Flat Reed is available in widths up to one inch.
