Reed Spline is one of the by-products that come from the inner core of the Rattan Palm after the peel has been removed to produce Binder and Chair Cane. It has a rounded top and a slight V-shape to the sides, so that it fits snugly into the groove to hold Pressed Cane Webbing in place. The width of the groove determines the size of Reed Spline called for in a particular application.
